Rhodia and Dow Corning have cooperated to develop silica/silane products

Rhodia of France and Dow Corning of the United States have reached an agreement to jointly develop new silica/silane products and make them industrialized. This agreement aims to develop a new type of silica/silane system and provide precipitated silica and silane for the tire industry, so as to reduce the rolling resistance of tires and improve the fuel efficiency and driving safety of vehicles; Reduce vehicle fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions. As a component of tire compound, silane can improve the interaction between silica and polymer by binding extensometer on the sample with spring or rubber band. Through this cooperation, Dow Corning and Rhodia can give full play to their respective strengths and create breakthrough solutions for customers to solve their inaccurate speed control
