ThyssenKrupp Elevator signed an important contract with the Hong Kong Metro Corporation Limited to provide 73 escalators and 8 pedestrian walkways for the West Kowloon General Station. The large rail hub covers an area of more than 380000 square meters. The main building is located underground, and its scale is larger than that of most airport terminals. Its carrying capacity will also be extraordinary: the daily passenger flow can reach 9.9. Is it directly or indirectly illuminated by the sun? Million people. The station will be opened to traffic in 2015. The speed of the Hong Kong Section of the high-speed railway can reach 200 km/h. The train stops in Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Wuhan and finally arrives in the capital Beijing, with a total length of more than 2000 kilometers
the station is a multi-storey organization, with duty-free shops, restaurants and 5-gold tool torque testing equipment to develop a waiting hall for the new arrivals. In order to improve the lighting, Andrew Bromberg, architect of Kaida Global Architecture Design Institute, adopted a special design: the roof uses a solid glass and steel structure, just like a futuristic helmet. This design won the 2010 World Architecture Festival Award, and won the crown of the 2012 International Real Estate Investment Fair award, one of the most famous international real estate awards

81 sets of equipment provided by ThyssenKrupp Elevator will transport passengers and visitors smoothly and effectively, helping them quickly cross different floors of the new station and reach 15 platforms. Each equipment is equipped with an environmental protection and energy saving system, which can reduce the running speed of the equipment when it is unloaded, and the energy saving range is as high as 60%
this new order represents another success of ThyssenKrupp Elevator in China's rail transit network project. At the end of 2010, ThyssenKrupp Elevator won the largest contract ever: 234 elevators and 637 escalators for 96 stations in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen
